Richard O. Weed, Managing Partner. Mr. Weed’s areas of practice are Securities, Business Law, Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures, Corporate Law, and Litigation.

 

Mr. Weed’s abilities are the result of his graduate business and legal education and association with prominent law firms in California and Texas . Mr. Weed received a Master of Business Administration – International Management in from the University of Southern California , a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Business Administration – International Business from the University of Texas at Austin. While at St. Mary’s University School of Law, he served as Senior Associate Editor of the St. Mary’s Law Journal.

 

Prior to founding Weed & Co. LLP, Mr. Weed gained experience by practicing law with two firms. During 1992, he was a Bankruptcy Litigation Staff Attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Irvine, California. From 1987-1991, Mr. Weed was a Business Litigation Attorney at Foster, Lewis, Langley, Gardner & Banack, Inc., in San Antonio, Texas .

 

Mr. Weed belongs to the Orange County Bar Association, State Bar of California, State Bar of Texas, and Association for Corporate Growth.

 

Mr. Weed was an adjunct professor of law at Western State University College of Law from 1994 – 1996, and was an adjunct professor of business at DeVry Institute of Technology in 1997.

April Frisby joined Weed & Co. LLP in September 1999. Her areas of practice are Securities, Business Transactions, Business Litigation, Corporate Law, and Estate Planning.

 

Ms. Frisby’s success as partner at Weed & Co. LLP can be attributed to both her innovative thinking as an attorney and academic excellence while in law school. At Whittier Law School, she served as Research Editor on Whittier Law Review, and graduated ranking first in her class. Today, her presence at Whittier Law School continues as an adjunct professor of law. Ms. Frisby’s areas of instruction have included Legal Skills I and II, Professional Responsibility Skills, and Securities Regulation. Ms. Frisby is also an adjunct at Western State University College of Law, where she teaches Professional Skills II.

 

Along with being a member of the State Bar of California, Ms. Frisby is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
